Come and join us during Lent

Lent and Easter is a really important and special time in the life of the Church. We'd love you to come and join us
and to celebrate with us.

Palm Sunday, 24th March

Palm Sunday celebrates Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, where he was greeted as the Messiah by crowds waving palm leaves. It is the traditional start of Holy Week, where many churches distribute palm crosses to signify this special day.

 

Worship will take place across our Circuit, in all of our churches, as follows:

Holy Week Prayers

A brief time of prayer and reflection as we travel through the start Holy Week. These take place via Zoom. Please contact the Circuit Office for more information and Zoom meeting details.

Maundy Thursday, 28th March

Maundy Thursday is where we mark the events of the evening before Christ was crucified, primarily Jesus washing His disciples' feet and The Last Supper.

A gentle service of reflection and healing led by Rev. Ruth Childs

A traditional Communion service led by Rev. Denise Williams

Good Friday, 29th March

Good Friday is where we commemorate Jesus' crucifixion and death, dying for all our sins.

Tenebrae Service led by Rev. Carole Holden (followed by hot cross buns)

Easter Sunday, 31st March

Easter Sunday is a day of celebration... Jesus rose from the dead for every single one of us! Come and celebrate with us... then crack open your Easter Eggs!
